We only source seafood when it’s in season to ensure we sustain healthy fish stocks of sustainable British fish. We operate a whole catch ethos, meaning we choose a wide range of species rather than cherry picking the well-known, often overfished species. We think this is a more sustainable and ethical way of doing business.

This means that some weeks you may cook a fish you are familiar with and other weeks you may receive a fish you haven’t tried before. Check out our British fish species below, how they’re caught and how to prepare and cook them.

  • I am so excited to open the box

    When I open the box it’s so fresh it’s the smell of the ocean! I feel so taken care of in the good hands and soul(sole) of the fishers and everyone involved.

    I rarely ate fish since moving to London because seeing red cloudy eyed limp fish made me feel sad. And since joining Soleshare, I get to feel at home and get to eat wonderful seafood, thanks to all your hard work!
